The Alor Islands

They are breathtaking islands situated east of Flores, which starts by Adonara and Solor. Just behind those islands, there is the Lembata island, which has many undiscovered diving terrains at its northern coast. There is also a unique whale hunters´ village called Lamalera. These people still fight with titans of the seas only with the help of most primitive harpoons and wooden boats.

Behind Lembata, there is a very little known small island Rusa and Pantar with a sacred active volcano Gunung Sirung. Their inland is torn up and unknown. Then there is Pura, a place of primitive underwater harpoon hunters and Alor, which is the aim of our diving expeditions. The whole area is very scarcely visited by tourists!
